For properly sized
trim tabs,
choose at least one inch of trim tab
(per side) for every foot of boat.
Examples:
22’ boat – no
less than 24” x 9”
36’ boat – no
less than 36” x 9”
Notes:
•In
tight spaces, use 12” chord tabs
to reduce span requirements
•18”spans
x 12” chord tabs can accomplish
the same action as 24” spans
x 9” chord tabs.
Span = inboard to outboard measurement
Chord = fore to aft measurement
